After months of rumours and speculation about Nothing’s mid-range smartphone, Nothing Phone 2a is finally set to make its debut on March 5th. This smartphone is expected to be positioned in the more affordable smartphone market.
Design of Nothing Phone 2a: The official images reveal the inclusion of the iconic glyph interface on the Nothing Phone 2a. The glyph interface, a distinctive and essential feature of the Nothing Phone experience, enables users to create personalized glyph patterns assigned to specific callers.
The Phone 2a will be offered in two colors – black and white – reflecting the company’s dedication to aesthetic variety. In line with Nothing’s signature style, the transparent design is enhanced by a flat display and flat edges, with a matte finish lending an additional layer of elegance.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the Phone (2a) will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset, supporting up to 12GB of RAM.
Specifications and Expected Price of Nothing Phone 2a
Nothing 2a is expected to havea dual 50MP camera setup on the rear, and 32MP front-facing camera for all selfie and video call requirements. It is likely to feature a 6.7-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, backed by a powerful 5,000 mAh battery. Running on Nothing OS 2.5, based on Android 14.
While Nothing didn’t officially announce the pricing of its upcoming smartphone in India or the global market, the company has confirmed that the Phone 2a will be priced lower than the Phone 1, indicating that the phone may be priced under ₹30,000.
